The primary responsibilities and expected results for the GBF 1

This position has variety and is considered an entry level position that requires training. The GBF 1 will need to learn how to do bindery and finishing tasks accurately, consistently, with a high degree of quality. Once those skills are learned, the GBF 1 will need to learn to gain speed at assigned tasks. It is expected that within a 6 month period, or sooner, the GBF 1 will move up to become a GBF 2.

The primary responsibilities and expected results for the GBF 2

This position has some variety. The GBF 2 can be competent at performing handwork. Or may be primarily a machine helper, coiler and pocket feeder. While the GBF 2 is competent with these responsibilities – does it right all the time – the individual may not yet be performing at operating standards 100% of the time. The GBF 2 is accurate and produces good quality. Production errors are rare. Can solve problems and recommend viable alternatives. Has developed good product knowledge.

The primary responsibilities and expected results for the GBF 3

This position may have a great deal of variety. The GBF 3 is highly skilled and most effectively used for performing handwork and/or high level machine helping. The GBF 3 is also a machine helper, coiler and/or pocket feeder. Ideally the GBF 3 is capable of performing all assigned tasks consistently, exceptionally well. The GBF 3 is fast, accurate and produces excellent quality. Meets or exceeds production standards 100% of the time when averaged over all jobs. Production errors are rare.
