How long will it take to complete my job?
Turnaround times depend on the amount of work we have booked into our schedule. To ensure that your job is completed on time, please schedule in advance and ensure that all press sheets sent to PBS are dry. Plastic spiral and Wire-O bound books need to be scheduled one week in advance, especially for large quantities.

What will I need to send along with the job?
To properly process jobs, we require a sample (digi proof, dummy, shingle, etc.), and a detailed purchase order containing the trim size, page count, how the job is supplied to PBS, special instructions, etc. Plastic spiral and Wire-O bound books require stock dummies at time of scheduling to order the correct materials.

When can I pick up my order?
Our shipper will give you a call upon completion of the job to inform you when to pick up your job.

What do I need to take into account for perfect binding?

• All areas that will have glue applied to it MUST be knocked out to allow proper chemistry between the glue and the paper. Glue is applied to the spine as well as the side of the book block.
• All inside signatures must have the same head, foot and face trims to register to each other in the book.
• The sheet size of the cover must be larger than the inside signatures. This creates a “glue trap” which enables us to glue the entire length of the spine.

What hours are Shipping and Receiving open?
Standard hours for shipping and receiving are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. however the plant is open earlier and later and appointments can be made to come in after hours.
